The Cattleman's Classic
The BEEFIEST event of the year!
The NETBIO Cattleman’s Classic & Ribeye Round Up is one of the premier steak cook-off events in Texas, bringing together grill teams, ranchers, families, and food lovers for a day-long celebration of beef, community, and tradition. Held each year in downtown Sulphur Springs, this event offers multiple ways to get involved—whether you're looking to compete in the ribeye steak cook-off, enter your young chef in the Junior Cook Division, or simply enjoy a day filled with steak tastings, live music, and hometown hospitality. It’s the perfect event for both seasoned pitmasters and backyard grillers to showcase their skills and compete for trophies, buckles, and bragging rights.
Attendees can purchase tasting tickets to sample mouthwatering bite-sized ribeye cuts from a variety of competing teams, while enjoying an afternoon of live country music, family-friendly fun, and a festival-style atmosphere. With past years featuring performances from Texas music favorites and generous support from local ranchers, banks, and ag sponsors, the Round Up continues to grow as a can't-miss food and culture event in East Texas.
Set in the award-winning historic downtown square of Sulphur Springs, Texas, the event takes full advantage of the area’s charming architecture, walkable layout, and vibrant community spaces. Surrounded by local shops, cafes, and the iconic glass bathrooms on the square, guests can take in the sights, support local businesses, and experience the rich cowboy and ranching heritage that Northeast Texas is known for. It’s more than a steak cook-off—it’s a full Texas experience.
Whether you're here to compete, taste, cheer on the youth cooks, or just soak in the small-town charm, the NETBIO Cattleman’s Classic & Ribeye Round Up invites you to be part of something that’s pure Texas at heart.
